Dschungmo Seong is Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Seoul. Before joining UOS in 2013, Professor Seong served as Senior Researcher at Ministry of Justice of South Korean Government. He received a Bachelor in Law, his Master in Law(Civil law and roman law) from Seoul National University, his Magister in Law(Civil law and roman law) from University of Muenster, Germany and Doctor juris(Civil law and roman law) from University of Bonn, Germany.

Professor Seong’s current research interests focus on Korean civil law, with a particular emphasis on the basic legal principles of civil law. He has published on several topics including : Causation in civil law, Adult guardianship, Substituting consents, Autonomy in law, Legal status of the body and its materials
