School of Architecture (Architecture)
The Department of Architecture's 5-year undergraduate program was the first to receive architectural accreditation in Korea. It trains students for a career as a professional architect. The Department also offers Masters and Ph.D. programs in the diverse fields of history, theory, preservation, housing, institutional issues, sustainable design, and facilities planning. While maintaining its unique civic character as part of the university of and for the metropolis of Seoul, it places creative, intellectual work and responsive architectural design firmly at the core of its educational goals. Our programs, the largest and the most innovative in Korea, draw strength and character from their active relation with architectural engineering, urban design, and landscape architecture. With a solid foundation in design, graduates excel in the diverse fields of architectural design, interior and environmental design, academics and research, information technology, public service, and real estate development.
